The modern “Pest Technician” has ever increasing amounts of legislation and regulation from both at home in the UK and Europe wide,to be aware of. Legislation that determines which baits and traps we are permitted to use against which pest, Regulations which state when we should use or not use baits to control pests. There is health and safety legislation and regulation which determines the safe use baits and traps, it considers the safety of customers purchasing pest control and also legislates for the safety of none target species, and of course for the protection of the technician
With all this in mind it is worth considering the following points when purchasing pest control services in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
1; Is the pest technician fully trained in modern pest control methods to the level determined by the RSPH/BPCA or other major organisation.
2; Is the pest control company a member of a major trade organisation. Ie; NPTA/BPCA., Which will provide the pest control company with technical, practical and legal assistance.
3; Does this pest control company have adequate liability insurance to cover any mishaps that may occur.
4;Does the pest control company purchase his baits and traps from a major supplier, ensuring he is up to date with all the equipment and materials he uses and is permitted to use.
5; Does the pest control company give a fixed price quotation and guarantee based on the advice given.
